There are basically three ways to install hot tub filter.
- freestanding: In this case, the filters are free all around and screwed on the underside. The water simply flows to the filters and is filtered horizontally.
- Shaft with skimmer above: Many manufacturers install their filters in a shaft. The filter is screwed to the bottom of the shaft, and above it come coarse grids and/or cylindrical skimmer hood.
- Pressure chamber: A few manufacturers suck the water from somewhere in the pool, then transport it into their own chamber where the filter is located. This chamber is securely closed from above with a screw cap with a seal.
For the second variant, the EGO3 toploader was specifically invented. It fits exactly into the slot where the previous filter was installed. The EGO3 filter cover is about 4-5mm larger in diameter and thus rests on top. The filtration is vertical, and the EGO3 hot tub filter filters perfectly. Since the filter "hangs" in the slot, it does not need threads to screw it to the bottom. The toploader EGO3 hot tub filter can also be used independently of the length of your previous filter.
In the picture, you can see how the EGO3 hot tub filter then lies in the shaft. The lid is available in white, light gray, and dark gray.
