Whirlpool Water Care and Filtration
Most have their hot tub under control and always have wonderful water, and nothing stands in the way of enjoyment. Others, however, are in a constant battle with their hot tub water care, and it shouldn't be that way.
What is important for perfect hot tub water care?
"To ensure that nothing stands in the way of your enjoyment, two points are important."
- Water care - Disinfection
- Water Care - Filtration
The disinfection must be appropriate. The pH value should be between 6.8 and 7.2, and a suitable disinfectant should be used in the correct amount. If these two points are met, the water should also be suitable. The second point is to remove the dirt produced by the disinfection system. Because floating dirt makes maintenance significantly more difficult.
"As hot tub filter specialists, we will delve deeper into point two."
There is the ancient filter technology of paper cartridge filters and the new EGO3 filters. Once you have tried the EGO3 hot tub filter, you will never use anything else. Why?
- Because the EGO3 hot tub filter can absorb much more dirt, meaning that even if I clean less often or forget to do so, the hot tub filter is not immediately full and continues to filter. EGO3 hot tub filter can absorb about 5 times as much dirt as conventional cartridge filters.
- Because the EGO3 hot tub filter filters everything, no matter how small the particles are. Paper filters can only filter parts down to about 40 microns. The fine particles below that simply remain in the water and float around as micro dirt, hardly visible to the eye. The water always has a minimal odor, and the disinfection system (which doesn't need to see the dirt, it just has to be there ;-)) has a much harder time. We measure this by measuring the turbidity of the water in NTU. Tap water has about 0.5 NTU. Whirlpool water remains at about 0.5, but larger particles are filtered out by the filters and over time are replaced by more and more microparticles from dead dirt. These almost invisibly burden the water. Not so with the EGO3 hot tub filter. This filters out every particle due to its special technology, no matter how small. This results in technically purified water (technical term) after about 2-3 weeks with a measurably detectable turbidity of 0.1 NTU. 0.1 NTU means that all dirt, no matter how small, has been removed from the water and the limit of detectability has been reached.
- Because the EGO3 hot tub filter does not contaminate the water again when changing it. When unscrewing, all dirt particles remain in the cartridge. With paper cartridge filters, as you have surely seen in your whirlpool, countless dirt particles detach again and are immediately back in the water.
That one still saves time and money with all these advantages is a nice side effect :-)
