When dirt and discolorations can no longer be washed away easily, it is time to buy a new cartridge filter.
Cartridge filters must be completely replaced after 1-2 years.
Cartridge filters must be cleaned every 1-2 weeks.
How do I clean my cartridge filter?
- Remove the filter and rinse it roughly with a water jet.
- Then place the filter in a bucket with water and filter cleaner. Without filter cleaner, oils and fats unfortunately will not be removed from the fine fabric, and the filter will last even shorter.
- After about 3-6 hours, remove it from the chemical bath. Rinse immediately with fresh water.
- Rinse all the pleats individually with a stronger jet.
The whole process takes about 1 hour of net working time. You will need about 50 liters of water and a filter cleaner costing about 15 euros.
Changing and cleaning Ego3 hot tub filters:
Ego3 filters are equipped with spherical filter material - the Ego3 filterballs. Only these are cleaned and eventually replaced,
Ego3 filters are never replaced because the container is a multi-use unit.
Ego3 filters should be cleaned every 8 weeks.
How do I clean my Ego3 filter?
- Remove the filter from the pool and open the lid.
- Squeeze the filterballs under running water like a sponge.
- Put the filterballs back into the Ego3 container and put it back into operation.
The whole process takes about 5-6 minutes in total. You will need about 5 liters of water and no chemicals.
