This is very easy to explain and is due to the know-how that in our filter medium the filter balls The filter balls have been developed over the years and optimized for use in whirlpools.
The clarity of the water is measured in NTU - how many suspended particles are in the water. Normal, clear tap water has about 0.5 NTU. Tap water also contains suspended particles - not to be confused with dissolved particles such as lime, magnesium, etc. These cannot of course be filtered because they do not float in the water, but are dissolved in the water. So back to the suspended particles - both the cartridge filter and the ego3 Filters filter out all particles larger than approximately 40 micrometers due to their structure. This is called the selectivity of the filter material. This means that all particles larger than 40 micrometers simply get stuck in the fabric of the filter material.
