Never clean hot tub filter cartridges again, is that possible?

We all know this. The hot tub displays an error message that the hot tub Filters are clogged or it switches off completely and no longer heats. Therefore, we all have to constantly clean the filters of our whirlpools (usually far too often). And as we all know, this is quite a hassle. When unscrewing the filter, a lot of dirt comes off the paper cartridge filter back into the water. Then you have to rinse it - put it in a cleaning solution - rinse it again - preferably with high pressure and above all from the inside out (which is almost impossible). The parts are usually very bulky, sometimes there isn't even room in a sink and in winter the mess with the wet things is a nightmare anyway. And after 3, 4, 5 cleanings it's over and we have to buy the next filter and spend another 30-80 euros depending on the whirlpool brand.

With the EGO³ whirlpool filters, this is much easier. The dirt stays in the filter. Clean It's very quick and easy and when the filter material can no longer be cleaned it can simply be replaced with new one, but at least it's much cheaper.

Because the material is very cheap, we have calculated what happens if you simply never clean the balls. This means that if the balls are very dirty, they are simply replaced with new ones.

Here is our calculation for a hot tub Filter cleaning with two filters:

• The circulation filter filters out about 90% of the dirt, which means that the second filter only needs to be replaced about every fourth time.
• You have to ego3 Clean the filter approximately every 8-16 weeks. We calculate with the middle of 12 weeks.
• The dirt is not evenly distributed, ie the upper balls are very dirty. The lowest balls are hardly dirty at all. So even if they were swapped, only about 80% of the balls would be swapped.
• All this results in a requirement of 45 balls per year for the circulation filter and 12 balls for the massage pump filter.
• In a big bag ego3 Filter balls are about 250 filter balls. This costs 99 euros including shipping if I order it individually.
• This results in costs of 25.22 euros per year!

RESULT:

25.22 euros per year and you NEVER have to hot tub Clean the filter!

Even if you use the pool very heavily, we will double that and add 50 euros to the calculation. But that is still much cheaper than buying replacement paper/fleece filter cartridges, but as I said never clean filters again and the other advantages such as less chemical use, clearer water and longer service life of the components are included free of charge!

Conclusion: Even if you ego3 Never clean filter balls but simply replace them, this system is much cheaper than all existing hot tub Filter with filter paper or filter fleece. And there is nothing to speak against it for environmental reasons either. Old filter cartridges are residual waste that ends up in landfill. ego3 Filter material is made from recycled material and is recycled again. So you don't produce any Müll.
