There are basically three types of how hot tub filters are installed.
- freestandingThe filters are free all around and screwed on at the bottom. The water simply flows to the filters and is filtered horizontally.
- Shaft With a skimmer on top: Many manufacturers install their filters in a shaft. The filter is screwed to the bottom of the shaft, and above it come coarse grids and/or a cylindrical skimmer cover.
- Pressure chamberSome few manufacturers suck the water from somewhere in the pool, then transport it to a separate chamber where the filter is located. This chamber is securely closed from above with a screw cap with a seal.
For the second variant, the EGO3 top loader has now been specially invented. This fits exactly into the compartment where the previous filter was installed. The EGO3 filter cover is approximately 4-5mm larger in diameter and thus sits on top. The filtration is done vertically and the EGO3 hot tub filter filters perfectly. Since the filter "hangs" in the compartment, it does not need any threads to be screwed to the bottom. The top loader EGO3 hot tub filter can also be used regardless of the length of your previous filter.
In the image, you can see how the EGO3 hot tub filter then lies in the shaft. The lid is available in white, light gray, and dark gray.
