There are various filter balls on the market. Basically, these can be divided into 2 main categories:

fiber balls:

1. expensive, although they cost very little, because you need a lot more because of the short shelf life and the difficult cleaning
2. clumping: the filter balls are much too dense and this leads to clumping and flow problems in the pool and hot tub (they are also not backwashable in the pool)
3. difficult to clean, as the dirt is difficult to remove from the dense filter ball structure
4. need to be cleaned very often.
